Oman Formaldehyde Chemical Company LLC (OFCC) is a 50:50 joint venture between Oman Methanol Holding Company LLC (OMHC), an OMZEST Group Company of the Sultanate of Oman and a GCC promoter.
A Joint Venture Agreement was signed on 15th May 2005 and the company was registered on 26th June 2005. The Company went into commercial production in April, 2008.
The Company owns and operates 125 TPD for Urea Formaldehyde Concentrate (UFC-85) and/ or 203 TPD for Aqueous Formaldehyde (AF-37) production facility, located in Sultanate of Oman at Sohar Industrial Port (SIP) Area, an industrialized hub for chemical, metal, oil & gas industries with required infrastructure facilities of utilities and port.
Major raw-materials i.e. Methanol and Urea are sourced within SIP Area.
